Funnily enough I always imagined the Amazons at a local day school but I recall the PM reference now... Of course we demand a consistency across the canon that AR might jot provide... As for the School Room, home education for a largish brood was not uncommon among the middle classes. I think the Ransomes hime tutors at some point too?
