Well I do apologise (really) if it irritates you, but after a working lifetime of reporting on British (and foreign) affairs, it's so all-pervasive and debilitating for this country (that I really do admire and enjoy) that it just seems to come up, of its own accord, the moment we go below the shiny surface of any subject.
But as I was agreeing with Roger, we're here to have fun, and Beckfoot's chimneys are as good a way as possible of doing that.
