As regards the copyright, it may well be that if the BBC commissioned it they will own it.
As an employee or subcontractor for most major organisations, if you carry out work for them all rights in your own work become their property in for which your salary or fee is recompense. This is standard form wording in most contracts.
Of course it is possible to negotiate to retain the rights yourself, but the probability is that you will not get the work.
