Upon further reading in the e-book version of Winter Holiday, I found in chapter 13 another typo error.
Dick and Mr. Dixon are coming back from the smithy having puts runners on the new sledge, and we see this line:
Mr. Dixon took the sledge out of the cart for them, and set its
shining runners in the snow.
That was the right version; the E-book version has "show" instead of "snow" - ug...
I suppose a visual scan could mistake the similarity in "h" with "n" and get the wrong one.
