The label photographed by Guy C. sounds very familiar. I think that must be what I saw. It was about halfway along the island, next to the path on the West side of the island. Is there any chance you could scan it and Eel-Mail it to me please Guy?
Over the weekend I realised it is probably no longer at eye level, so when I visit the Island in October I will be looking UP at the trees to try and find it!!!!
On the subject of larger slate plaques, I think the one by the side of the road just by Holly Howe, oops I mean Bank Ground, is very tastefully done and would have been approved of by the whole S.A.& D.
mining company!
