Dan Ford asked a few days ago about a commemorative plaque on Peel Island, and no one seems to have responded. I was wondering about this myself.

The photograph I have (taken in 1977) shows merely a small white label embedded into a tree with the words "Arthur Ransome, 1884-1967"

Does anyone know if it is still there?
