I visited the island a couple of times in the 1970's and there was a tree that had been planted, and a plaque fixed to it, commemorating the life and works of Arthur Ransome.
I have recently over the last few years started visiting the island again, but have not been able to find either the tree or the plaque.
Can anyone tell me please if I'm not looking hard enough and just where it is located, or what has happened to the tree and plaque?
