Didn't we have a little bit of geographical exploration here a few years ago to discover the most likely candidate for the prototype of AR's version of The Roaring Donkey? I seem to remember about three contenders being named, but none of them being a clear leader in the "this is the original" stakes.
Does anyone know where was the pub used in making the TV series? Was there anything about that pub -- other than the fact that it was one -- that qualified it to be a member of the cast?
