This is probably a stupid question but do I understand you correctly? Are you building a pram dinghy out of 1 inch thick oak planks?
I'm trying to visualise clinker boats and don't recall the plaanks being anywhere near that thickness. But as my mother says, "bairns and fools shouldn't see things half done".
