1. The boats are pulled out of the water for the winter, aka WH and the rowboats.

2. The Windermere muesum has a wet lock inside, therefore the boat could be permanently in the water, but safe. As a matter of fact she would look good in the water.

3. In BS the Wroxham people are pulling the boats out of the water for the winter into the sheds.

4. The planks have dolfinite between them, very sticky I am sure that stops most leaks.

Very clever how you got CC into the last response. Almost a play on letters.
