What sort of neat spirit do they drink in Poland? It is impossible to obtain neat alcohol (ethanol) by distillation and you have to remove any remaining water by drying the ethanol over calcium chloride. The resulting neat alcohol burns your mouth badly and is undrinkable.
I think in the UK that the Polish White Spirit I have purchased is 120 proof (about 68% alcohol) doubtless stronger measures are available locally in Poland.
Please note the US proof system is different and more logical.
Polish White Spirit will get you drunk quickly but you will rarely get a hangover. Ethanol does not give you a hangover but the impurities (mostly congeners) from the drink production process do give a hangover.
Anyone who has recovered from a sherry or port hangover will be certain that there is life after death!
