Laurence, Thank you for this information. Well done with Lydia Eva! What's happened to her?

I have spent all my adult life watching with ever increasing frustration as the UK's rail network has been decimated due to the policy recomendations of imbeciles at the Department of Rail Destruction and Road Construction. It seems our inland seaways have fared no better. Why do we have this lemming-like wish to cart everything around by road?

I have sailed under the bridge you mention. Unlike the New Cut bridge it is all right for yachts. But that is all. The Yare without its ships (the last only a few years ago worked as far as Cantley) is a river that's lost its soul.
