I'm pretty sure they are one and the same. I need to check with my mother ( not in cybercommunication!) She and my father were quite friendly with the de Selincourt family, there were at least 2 brothers, and Audrey who was a well known artist in clay, and married to an Oxford Don. My parents spent their honeymoon at the De Selincourt family holiday cottage at St Jacut sur Mer in Brittany. Needless to say my sister & I acquired all the De Selincourt sailing books, Aubrey DEE Selincourt, as my father used to tease me for saying. Although we enjoyed them, I'm sure in the unformed fashion of childhood thinking we knew they were a step below AR's books. One of the DeSelincourt books takes place in St. Mawes and features two then-well known local characters, the marine artist Charles Pears and his wife.
