I never thought I'd hear these places mentionned on Tarboard!

There is an AR connection! Having been infected by the adventures of the S & A's at an early age, I wanted to emulate my heroes. However, the sort of things that they got upto - night sailing on the Lake, popping over the North Sea for the weekend, fighting armed egg collectors on the Scottish lochs - needed a piece of equipment that I didn't have, namely a boat. One day a very long time ago, a very young Chris White (currently of secretary of The Narrow Gauge Railway Musuem) took me to Nant Gwernol and Aberllefenni. We stood like Christina Hardiment at the mouths of the levels and looked in. Now here was a proper dufferish activity that I could get involved in. I was hooked!
