I fear we have lost Crowns, by the same authors, blue boards, different characters.Crowns has a marvellous tough explorer called Charlotte leading her men through awful ( imaginary) adventures. I really wanted to be like Charlotte.
You may remember that it was AR who introduced Katharine Hull & Pamela Whitlock to Cape, and so launched their writing career. His drawings probably also inspired theirs - inkblots and stick figures. My usual question, are they still alive?
P.S. A big surpirse for my birthday was a first edition of The Big Six, dustcover and all!
