I am not sure that I could add much to David Carter's booklet to form the basis of an interesting literary talk.
The Swallows arrival at Lowestoft in PD could be researched and also various ideas of where the characters might have lived and went to boarding school could be the subject of further guesses. But not really enough for a talk.
