The Proceedings are (reasonably) verbatim transcripts of the talks given at each Literary Weekend.
I don't think we have ever covered railway matters, not generally considered 'literary', but over the years we have had items about AR's own life and writings, those of his friends, children's books in general, dramatisation of SA, foreign translations ..... a wide range.
Owen, if you can offer a literary talk on AR's railways for next year's weekend, please let me know. There was of course David Carter's booklet published by TARS, and now out of print, based on solid research in 1930s Bradshaws.
The 2005 Proceedings contain:
Ed Kiser: All Things Ransome
Owen Dudley Edwards: The libel action over AR's Oscar Wilde
Robert Thompson and Hsing Chin Lee: Translations, including the new Chinese one
Fiona Haughey: AR's approach to the Picts
Kirsty Nichol Findlay: PM, AR's Great Comic Novel
