After Canada you will find England is a pretty small place.
Distances are a lot less.
Using motorways saves a lot of time, however its when you get on the lesser roads your time gets wasted as they pass through towns and villages. (watch out for speed limits as they are often covered with cameras)
Ians idea of google is good but usually their times are a little conservative.
I dont know how long you are staying but try not to cover too much.
You can miss a lot of the flavour of the place charging hither and yon.
Good Luck and take lots of money, with the exchange rate it does not go far. Compared with the US at least you pay twice as much for everything.
I think the Canadian Dollar is fairing a little better.
