But Adam, wouldn't your daughters simply read the book and find out whether they liked it or not? As a child I never read the blurbs at the back, and I still don't - I'd never noticed the Lehmann comment before. Would any spirited child be put off by the idea that a book was not 'suitable' for them? Quite the opposite, in my experience!

discussion of gender in AR seems both more interesting and relevant than literal hot water.
