I am suprised that you had forgotten about this book PeterH. It it going to be close to the top of my pile of AR related books.

From what I had read, the Windermere Steamboat Museum closed at the end of October. A great shame as, to me, it added much to a lakes visit including a trip on Windermere. Of course one had to drink the obligatory cup of tea kettle!
On the last trip I had, I mentioned that on the previous trip that the tea was not as good as you could make on a steam railway engine. The engineer stopped the boat and put the whole boiler output through the kettle which did make a very good cup of tea. Honours at least even!
You do need fast boiling water to make tea.
