Michael Perham obviously deserves praise, but was it really an 'AR-style adventure'?
To me, and I have posted this thought before, the attraction of the SA books as a child was that what they did without adult interference. Not an adventure with supervision (Michael Perham had his dad following him!)
Attempts by various bodies to re-create the SA life to me are doomed as they all involve organisation by adults, the very thing that would have ruined the original books.
