Bill, can you tell us more about the "one recorded meeting" on Mersea Hard?
Two other possible points of contact - AR ordered "Selina King", designed by Fred Shepherd, friend and mentor of MG, from Harry King, who also built boats for MG.
MG designed "Lapwing" for the Busks - friends of AR.
Of course, this just suggests that they had friends in common, not that they necessarily knew each other.
