Yes, thank you Ed, nothing beats a search engine once somebody has undertaken the task of entering the data... Does that make you the Taroogle?

Anyway... Apart from the one use in 'Missee Lee', I'd say that all the references to 'kids' are in fact rather dismissive. Certainly George Owdon's is, but George is a bad lot and you'd expect him to use loose language. But even Tom's use of 'kids' stopped when the Ds had become accepted members of the group, rather than young and somewhat ignorant outsiders.

So I accept the evidence; AR did use 'kids' on rare occasions. But in a rather derogatory way.
