Or as Robert Louis Stevenson put it so succinctly, Little do ye know your own blessedness;
for to travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive, and the true success is to labour.

The above, is the de facto motto of Network Rail who closed down the West Coast main line
(the one that the Swallows used to get to The Lake) and Liverpool Street station (as used by
the D's to get to Norfolk) during the Winter Holiday break.
