There have been occasional messages (although not recently) asking about the cereal Force eaten on the island. It does still exist even in my local supermarket, but my question is about how it is translated into Dutch.

The word used is Sanovite. I have googled/yahooed/jeevesed and note that Sanovite was introduced in the early 1930s and appears to be a kind of cracker rather than a cereal. With determination and far more time than I have I could attempt to translate the websites I have found, but wondered if any TarBoarders could provide me with a short cut - does anyone know this product? What exactly is it and how is it eaten? I don't know whether it ever appeared outside the Netherlands and Flemish-speaking Belgium.

Many thanks for any help.
