Imaginative English kids such as Titty have long tried to to imitate American accents and American turns of speech when playing games such as Cowboys and Indians, and it is entirely natural, I think, that Titty should say 'Howdy' to her (South) American parrot (but see the Unmasking of Polly as an African Grey on the Trivia Page).

A thought: is there any game in which American kids affect British accents and turns of speech?
