Jock's comments on the Facebook data mining problems are concerning. I believe with Yahoo there is an option to hide all members (as with TarBoard) which might obviate this problem.
For TARS members the new Forum now seems to work well, I have made a couple of postings thereto.
However I believe one of the strengths of TarBoard has been it is world wide and is not limited to TARS members. If we want this to continue it us now up to us.
Ian has kindly said that TarBoard will remain open for a further couple of weeks; this will give us a chance to move TarBoard onwards if we wish to do so.
I believe it may well be possible to transfer to the already open Yahoo Group, although Ian does have reservations about it's technical competence. However it does seem to be operable by those with a lower level of technical expertise (who probably won't notice the defects!).
It would be interesting to know whether other TarBoarders feel this way or have alternative ideas for a transfer to a different platform.

Alternatively we can let TarBoard rest in memory of Ian's great idea
