Perhaps I ought to have used the rather less alpha male examples of "old
fashioned cooking, knitting (red caps of course), and sewing tents and
clothing" which are also hobbies of mine as well as steaming, sailing and
brewing.
My closest female friends enjoy steam engines, sailing and beer. I'm not
sure what an "Alpha plus male" is exactly, but my female friends are all
"shipshape and Bristol fashion", which I assume is roughly the same thing.
