I seem to remember steam and railways being propagated as one of the delights of Tarboard, so here is a little treat, if you like live steam model locos. This one is 'O' gauge, and meths-fuelled. Ransome connection? The table under the loco is standing on the floor of a barn at Barkbooth, where AR's great fishing friend, Col. Kelsall used to live, and who signalled to AR at Low Ludderburn using the squares and cones (idea used in Winter Holiday). Both Barkbooth and Low Ludderburn were visited by TARS Northern last Saturday, thanks to the kindness of the current owners of both houses.
