Someone called Peter Truelove is our best contact with the Steamboat Museum, but I don't think he posts here. I will email him and alert him to your request. I also know someone who does the bookkeeping/accounts for them whom I could ask. However, my understanding is that the public aren't allowed access to the site, presumably the usual health and safety and insurance cover issues. It's a very sorry state of affairs overall.

Esperance is still in the water I think, so if you want to canoe near to it to see it from the outside and from the stern, let me know. Of course, even if there weren't any workmen around we wouldn't land and climb aboard... There is also a footpath that goes very nearby that will let you see it from the bows and starboard side.
