Wow! A "Spot the Ball" competition on Tarboard! I must pinch the idea for The Outlaw.
I guess the size on screen will vary, but my cross is 55mm from the left side (on a 228mm wide photo), and 68mm from the bottom on a 152mm high photo. Or, 24.1% in from the left and 44.7% up from bottom.
Our local paper, the Westmorland Gazzette, eschews Spot the Ball (with a football-based photo) in favour of "Spot the Sheepdog" with a picture of sheep in a field, eyeing a missing sheepdog suspiciously, and you have to put your cross on where you think the dog's nose should be.
