It does appear as though it were several islands. He told several people it was Blake Holme, but then when the BBC used Blake Holme (I think?) he said they'd used the wrong island (no secret harbour) - clearly implying that it was Peel Island, and there are other references for that. I also remember reading something he said to Dick Kelsall (but have never been able to track the reference down since!!!) that the island was Ramp Holme on Windermere. But then apparently the locations used in the 74 film were (some of them at least) recommended by Evgenia, probably including those Derwent Water islands. But, it must be added, AR had far fewer links with Derwent Water than Windermere or Coniston.
