It's so fascinating to read all these comments about a character I'm just 'meeting' and reading about for the first time in Winter Holiday. Here she and Dick a very much the 'newbies' of the team, still learning about signalling and stuff.
By the way, I understand the events of WH took place before those in Swallowdale, according to the series continuity. It seems odd to me now that the Ds weren't mentioned at all in SD (though I assume this was down to how AR wrote the two books).
