On the other hand, returning to Beckfoot finished off with a downhill-to-level ride (with the Amazon River to wallow in, too) while going from Beckfoot to Tyson's was uphill all the way. So the cooling breeze of a return to Beckfoot wouldn't have been available in riding up (heavily-laden, presumably) to Tyson's. In PP there is mention of a last wallow in the river at Beckfoot.
