I have seen this claim:

Numbers used in the northern England:

1. aina
2. peina
3. para
4. pedera
5. pump
6. ithy
7. mithy
8. owera
9. lavera
10.dig

Sounds somewhat Celtic, perhaps comes
from the nearness of Scotland.

Is this a correct claim?

Amd Jacky said "yin" meaning "one".

"There's a big yin down yonder."

Where does that word come from?
