There was a clip on the ITV late night news at 2230 tonight about the sale.
As with most reporting, facts were somewhat dubious. The story was apparently based on three children from the Collingwood family according to the vendor although ITV did correctly name the four children by name
The provenance of the particular boathouse was unconvincing – I always thought it was the boathouse on the right (looking from the lake) that was more like AR’s headpiece in S&A.
Apparently enquiries received from as far away as Australia and Japan. Interesting to see what it eventually realises.
