Bank Ground Farm has made some changes since the Google satellite image was taken, including a gravelled farm track immediately to the south of Roger’s field that gives vehicle access to the boathouses. Obviously the track could only be used by arrangement with Bank Ground (who also have a slipway for launching boats, and a limited amount of parking space).

The wooden jetty appears to belong with the Lanehead boathouse – it is coloured in on the map in the property particulars on Rightmove. The jetty needs repair and you can see in the Rightmove photo that planks of wood have been nailed to the top of the posts to deter access from the water. At the landward end a metal gate has been put across the entrance of the jetty, and I think there was a warning notice from Middlesbrough Council.

Another change at Bank Ground is that a small part of Roger’s field is now fenced off to be a garden area near the holiday cottages, but it is still possible, for those who wish to, to tack up the field most of the way to the farmhouse. This photo shows the mown garden area in the foregound, then Roger’s field and the small field by the shore, with a corner of the other field that doesn’t belong to Bank Ground.

You can see a map showing the new field boundaries and lots of other detail by entering the postcode LA21 8AA, using the link below:
