Young Jim, Bob and Molly.

On the top of Kanchenjunga (aka The Matterhorn) in SD, Nancy reads the the note in the box and says “Bob Blackett was father”.

When Peggy wonders how Molly & Jim got away to climb the Matterhorn, Nancy says “Probably father rescued them”. Did she mean Bob Blackett? How could he (Bob) rescue them? I think that the GA would be more likely to object to Molly (Mary?) and her swain Bob (is swain the right word for the time) climbing the Matterhorn together; more so than Molly with her brother Jim?

The GA looked after Jim & Molly (SD ch 27 p335-6, & ch 3 p 52). As a Turner, she must have been a sister of their father not their mother.
