I know there are a lot of Harry Potter fans on Tarboard, so I hope
I'll be forgiven for saying here (just in case anyone hasn't heard)
that the BBC has announced that, on Boxing Day from 12:00 to 20:00,
Radio 4 FM will be devoted to a broadcast of the unabridged
Stephen Fry reading of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
During these hours the conventional Radio 4 schedule will be on
long wave only. Apparently they tried to negotiate a serialised reading
but J.K. Rowling insisted on an uninterrupted one, and on the use of this
unabridged version.

Fry is quoted in today's Guardian as saying: "Reading Harry Potter books
out loud is more fun than fun than I feel a single human being could ever
deserve. It's like swimming in chocolate." So I suppose I could have
titled this message "Fry's chocolate".
