Now here's a curiosity: I have just been given an old Puffin S&A, which says on the reverse of the title page: "Published in Puffin Books 1962". No later date, but it contains the 1958 "Author's Note", and the price on the back is in decimal currency, which started in 1971.
The cover illustration is by Anthony Kerins, and is one I have never seen before.
No doubt Wayne can explain all.
