Thank you Peter for letting us know that David Towne passed away. The last we heard here on Tarboard was that he was about to undergo a serious operation.
This is probably not the time to raise this matter but if I don't it may not be discussed. Do you not think there should be some central method of letting Tars know when one of our number passes on? At the moment it seems to happen haphazardly. Three weeks ago when Roger Wardale posted news of Tony Colwell's death it had already been included almost as a passing thought in a message posted two days earlier by another postee.
Can you tell us where the service is to take place please Peter.
