I noticed in the words of the Holm Bank hunting song provided by Tim on the Literary Pages
that Rathbone (the source for the words Tim found) has "Squire Sands" and the last verse
refers to "Squire Sands of High Graythwaite Hall", but Tim points out that Ransome has it
as "Squire Sandys" instead.

Graythwaite Hall is currently owned by Miles Sandys; several years ago I met his sister
Mary through Jill Goulder, a Southern Region TAR and friend of Mary's. I'm sure Ransome knew
perfectly well who owned the Hall -- and how to spell it. "Sandys" is pronounced "Sands"
although I don't know if it always has been. Which could have led to the different spelling
in the Rathbone text.
