Richard, there's some goodish news and some bad news - the goodish news is that only a few years ago the BBC did still have an archive copy. The bad news is that the copy had deteriorated so much that it was deemed unviewable. A former TARS member did trace another copy at the Film and Television Archive, but to buy it would have been super-exorbitant even before considering the copyright question. A few years ago The Film and Television Archive did have a showing of all six episodes in London where several TARS members were able to view it.
