I've sometimes wondered what this means - my thought was that the company that made the clay pipes had celebrated its 200 year anniversary in 1915, therefore the special stamping of the clay pipes 1715 and 1915. Presumably Peter Duck recognised the design.
The two dates do not have any particular significance in English history (unless anyone knows different!).
Please do not apologise for your grammar, Imre - it's pretty good and compares favourably with many messages posted on Tarboard by English men and women. Their spelling is not always as good as yours either! Incidently, where do you come from? It’s not easy to tell from the message as you don’t include your email address.
It's certainly good to welcome a new contributor.
