Are Midlands tackling it twice? Well, MAFF willing, I think TARS are going for the double and there may be some enthusiastic Midlanders who climb the Matterhorn with the Northerners on the 4 th and Kanchenjunga on the exact 70th anniversary with the Midlanders on the 11 th. If you are really keen you could celebrate the exact 100th anniversary of the Matterhorn on the 2 nd ( the Thursday) come back and be sociable on the Saturday with Northern region and climb Kanchenjunga on the 11 th. I could think of a lot worse ways of spending three days in August.
As for your second question, I don't know, singing the blues I expect.

P.S. If the above is as clear as eels' blood to you ; if the foot and mouth restrictions have been lifted climb Coniston Old Man with Northern Region on August the 4th and with Midland on August the 11th.
