Yes! That's the right Brian Hammett, long-term and knowledgeable TARS member, has been so many senior things in the Cruising Association that I've taken to just describing him as a "Leading light" (and only just realised the appositeness of the phrase).
He's also a trustee of the Nancy Blackett Trust, and currently chairman of the sailing committee.
And he's very active in the Old Gaffers Association, which has got Nancy into several interesting situations, including Secret Water rallies (with Coch-y-Bonddhu) and the press-ganging of Ellen MacArthur at Yarmouth a few weeks ago.
Brian's edited Ransome's drafts and notes,and photos, and added photos of his own and detail garnered while sailing in the same waters last year. Should be well worth while. He did an excellent talk on it all for the NBT AGM earlier this summer.
