The speed of such a motor-sailor would be less than 10 knts. The hull speed of a vessel is determined by the formula: Speed=1.4 times the sq root of the waterline length. A boat of such type would maybe have a Rugby petrol engine of a nominal 20 hp and a fuel consumption of 1 to 1.5 gallons per hour. The tank capacity would be 10 to 15 gallons at the outside. There would also be a water tank of a similar size for drinking water and a speed under sail would average about 5 knots. Probably a galley in the forecastle and a pipe cot, then two berths in the cabin these double as setees on either side of the cabin table.
Have a look at "Goblin" in WDMTGTS and increase the horsepower of the engine to that above.
