I agree about the shot of the cows. They are standing in the lake, a favourite subject of Victorian landscape painters. My son's criticism of the film is the same as mine - why no shark fishing, why no storm and why change the finding of Captain Flint's trunk? Presumably the money was running out. But it is really very good. I nominate "It's a very serious job!" from the houseboat party scene.
