Interesting... The bad guy sounds like a cross between the Hullabaloos and Mr Jemmerling. Having grown up spending summers along the coast of Maine, I can sympathize with the author's desire to make the villian a new-comer who does not accept the traditional ways. I've seen plenty of that type and thought they'd make good Hullabaloos or Mr Jemmerlings.
