In most of the 12 books (not just WD) events for each day are given day by day. Bill Wright’s Guide to the books on the AR website gives the chronology day by day. Generally though, we do not know the day of the week or the date, though this is of little importance in “real life” ie the school holidays! But the end of WD refers to Monday as being two days after the end of the book.

The two exceptions are the “fantasy” or “Peter Duck” books PD & ML, which are both long at 20 and 24 days plus an undefined period in the middle (yes, GN is “fantasy” too?):
PD: there is an undefined period “at sea” in the Atlantic
ML: there is an undefined period as students

WH is the longest at 31 days, and Bill Wright says that despite a comment of Nancy another one by Dot suggests that there are no gaps or missing days in WH. But this includes a quarantine period, was it of 30 days? Is Day 30 dated at 10th February?

WD & GN are the shortest at 5 days, then SW (9 days), PM (11 days), BS (12 days, excluding the fishy end), CC & SA (15 days), SD & PP (17 days), and of course WH (31 days). In SD and PP there is more holiday after the end of the book, while SA goes to the end of the holidays.
